A Sewing Weekend with Samantha Hoyt, of A Gathering of Stitches, and Heather Stilin, of Herself Clothing

Friday afternoon, April 11th- Sunday afternoon, April 13th.

Herself Clothing Studio, 535 Shore Rd, Cape Elizabeth, ME.

Come and bring your garment sewing projects that might need a little assistance, and let Sam and Heather help you. If you’ve gotten stalled, or need some hand holding to get through a particular project, Sam & Heather are here to help! Or, if you are not in need of help, but want to sew in company, bring your project and let’s sew together! We can all learn more from sewing in community. And community is what will keep us strong and sane in these weird days.

• Heather is providing her studio space, with tables and chairs. Sam will bring irons/boards and tool kits from the AGOS stock. You should bring your sewing machine, toolkit, and whatever project you would like. We will have a grand time hanging out and sewing.

• We are limiting this to six people so everyone has enough space, and attention.

• The cost will be $350 for the weekend.

Friday afternoon at 3:00 we will set up machines, have some snacks and get to know each other. If the group is inclined, we can start sewing.

Saturday we will sew all day, from 10:00 to 5:00. Rosemont Market is just next door for lunch options, or bring your own.

Sunday we will sew from 10:00 to 4:00. At four we will break down our spaces and take projects home!

We will reach out in advance of the weekend to get an idea of what sorts of projects you are bringing. That way we can be best prepared to offer specific assistance.
